Team: with Basic Initiative + Center for Public Interest Design + École Spéciale d’Architecture

In the aftermath of the earthquake of 2010 that shook Titanyen, Haiti, the Montesinos Orphanage was founded to provide shelter, food, and education to the children of the community. The goal of our team in collaboration with the orphanage was to improve the quality of life in a fragile environment and protect cultural identity with a design-build solar-powered bakery.
